Graco Cozy Dinette

After a set of baby spoons warped in the dishwasher into odd shapes and my homemade baby food wouldn’t come out of its freezer container, I went on the hunt for products that would work for my family and me.  I have discovered a few favorites.

Highchair: I love the Graco Cozy Dinette Highchair. My mom has the Zarafa print and I, of course, have the Carina print (for those of you who don’t know, that’s my daughter’s name). Baby seems comfortable in the chair and will let me do dishes and things around the kitchen while sitting in it. Also, it is highly adjustable to whatever your needs may be. My only complaint is that the front wheels don’t swivel and sometimes make it hard to move the chair from the dining room to the kitchen (which I rarely do anyway).

Spoons: For baby spoons I prefer the Munchkin Soft-Tip Infant Spoons, with their solid structure that can be easily held by both me and my baby. A close second are the NUK Soft Bite Infant Spoons, which have a thin metal handle with a silicone tip. My only issue with these is that Baby plays with the spoons and sometimes bites the metal handle – I’m worried about it hurting her gums/new teeth.

Bowls: The NUK Bunch-A-Bowls With Lids, on the other hand, are fantastic. They make my life a lot easier when traveling or storing leftover baby food in the refrigerator. They fit perfectly in a quart-size zip-top bag with a spoon and a bib!

Bibs: We go through a lot of bibs. I’ve tried a bunch, and most do the trick. However, with textured foods, Baby has decided to reject every third bite (I actually mean eject – she spits it all out with much fanfare). So, we needed something a little more heavy-duty. Enter: Bumkins SuperBib, waterproof coated polyester, with a pocket for ejected food! Yay! Also, they are SuperCute, with different prints for boys and girls, as well as fun Dr. Seuss prints.

Cups: These bibs also help now that she is learning how to drink on her own. We have had some success with the Nuby No Spill Cup with Super Spout, and Baby adores banging her cup on the high chair!

Freezer Containers: When I make food for Baby, I tend to have extra that I freeze in single portion sizes for later. The Beaba Multiportion Freezer Tray works amazingly well. The silicone tray is sturdy enough to hold the food in the freezer but flexible enough to flip it out once frozen. Also, it comes in four great colors, green, orangeblue, and pink. Perfection!

With the mess on my floors, I should probably get one of these Splashmats!

Happy feeding!
